About Dementias Today

Dementias Today (dementias.today) is an independent online newspaper devoted to every dementia: Alzheimer's and more than twenty others, from vascular and Lewy body dementia to the rare conditions most outlets never cover. Our motto is our thesis: Not one disease. Not one story.

How the paper is made. Dementias Today uses AI to research the published science and to verify every article against its sources; our editors shape each edition, and the editor in chief is accountable for everything that runs. We say this plainly on every article, not in the fine print. Every story names the study design behind a finding, carries the links it was reported from, and states plainly what its evidence does and does not show. A story without a primary source does not run. Each article carries an evidence date, so readers always know how current its science is. We do not give medical advice, and nothing here is a substitute for a clinician who knows the person.

Editor in chief. Dementias Today is edited by CF Dietz, its founding editor and the founder of Nubellum Research, the independent research company that publishes the paper. The editor in chief sets editorial standards and is accountable for what the paper publishes. The medical weight of a story rests on its cited primary sources and on the clinicians and researchers who write for the Opinion desk, never on the byline alone.
